The Englishman has not started a single game for Chelsea this season, and sources close to Sturridge indicate that the striker is unsurprisingly keen to leave Stamford Bridge in search of regular playing time.
According to the Daily Express, the Blues are willing to let Sturridge go for 20 million pounds, with Liverpool and Tottenham leading the list of possible destinations.
Having worked with Sturridge from their days at Chelsea, Brendan Rodgers and Andres Villas-Boas have both made enquiries about the player's availability.
The Reds failed in their proposed loan bid to bring Sturridge to Anfield in the summer, as the attacker was seeking a permanent transfer. Such a move is likely to take place in January as Fabio Borini's recent injury has left Rodgers with only one recognized striker in Luis Suarez.
While Sturridge's departure would leave Roberto Di Matteo's squad light on options upfront, the Blues are expected to compensate for the 23-year old's move by bidding for Atletico Madrid's Radamel Falcao. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has approved a 46 million Euro bid for Falcao, though the club are also keeping tabs on Marseille's Loic Remy and Bayer Leverkusen's Andre Schurrle.
