Premier League Saturday LIVE!
Will Sunderland winger Adam Johnson be able to haunt former club Manchester City when he makes his return to the Eithad Stadium? Find out as we cover the action LIVE!
All eyes will undoubtedly be on Johnson, who made the move to Sunderland from Manchester City in the summer after enduring three seasons of playing a bit-part role for the Citizens, as the England international lines up against his former team for the first time.
City manager Roberto Mancini is more than aware of the danger Johnson poses to his side and revealed he bore no ill-will towards the 25-year-old
"I am sure he will do well for Sunderland and go to another top team because he deserves this. He is a good guy and a good player," Mancini said.
"I hope he can have a good game on Saturday because I like Adam, I think he is a really good player.
Starting line-ups will appear here 15 minutes before kick-off:
Starting XIs - West Ham vs Arsenal
West Ham: Jaaskelainen, Demel, McCartney, Reid, Collins, Noble, Nolan, Diame, Vaz Te, Jarvis, Carroll.
Arsenal: Mannone, Jenkinson, Gibbs, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Arteta, Ramsey, Cazorla, Gervinho, Podolski, Giroud.
Mancini was also keen to remind his side of last season's battle with the Black Cats.
"Last year the point we got against Sunderland after we were 3-1 down with five minutes to go, and we equalised in the end with (Aleksandar) Kolarov, was an important point in the league," Mancini added.
"I think we need to remember that game. It is important we get three points but it will be a tough game. We need to play well."
Current table-toppers Chelsea will look to build on their midweek Champions League victory over Nordsjaelland when they take on Norwich at Stamford Bridge as they attempt to put some daylight between thems and the chasing pack.
The Blues are three points clear of high-flying Everton, who travel to the DW Stadium to take on Wigan, with David Moyes counting on star players Nikica Jelavic and Marouane Fellaini to ensure that the Toffees' incredible start to the season continues.
Elsewhere, Mark Hughes will try to engineer a first victory for QPR when they travel to West Brom while Swansea will host newly-promoted Reading.
Meanwhile, in the late kick-off, West Ham play host to Arsenal in a London derby with the spotlight firmly shining once again on Olivier Giroud, who has yet to score his first Premier League goal for the club.
