One of Tottenham's most consistent performers in the previous campaign, Walker's industrious runs up and down the right flank, in addition to his cultured free-kicks, earned the Englishman the PFA Young Player of the Year award.
The full-back shared with the club's official website his excitement for the new season, as he hoped to continue building a stronger understanding with compatriot Lennon.
"I thought we [Lennon and himself] were building up a better understanding towards the end of last season," Walker shared.
Walker admitted that both Lennon's and his playing style often exposed the team to opposition counter-attacks last year, but he assured the White Hart Lane faithful that the duo will strive to form a more balanced unit in this campaign.
"It’s difficult, because I always want to get forward and that’s obviously Azza’s [Lennon] strength as well," Walker said.
"We’re understanding each other a lot better, not taking it in turns to go forward, but knowing when to go and who is better to go. It’s all positive."
Tottenham will kick-off their season with a tricky tie away to Newcastle on Saturday.
