City held by Dresden in friendly
Premier League champions Manchester City were held to a 0-0 draw by Second Division German side Dynamo Dresden in Innsbruck.
Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez all started but City, who were beaten 1-0 by Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal on Friday, were unable to find the net for the second friendly game running.
Tevez played in Portuguese youngster Marcos Lopes whose effort was well blocked by Sebastian Schuppan, but the best chance of the first half fell to Dresden.
City keeper Costel Pantilimon made a hash of a long-range shot and was then forced into a point-blank save to deny David Solga from the rebound.
Roberto Mancini introduced Vladamir Weiss after the break and he went close to breaking the deadlock with a clever lob that substitute keeper Florian Fromilowitz just managed to claw away.
City suffered a late scare as defender Vincent Kompany limped off the pitch with a hamstring injury before the game fizzled out to a dull draw.
West Ham United suffered a 1-0 friendly defeat at Oxford United.
Hammers manager Sam Allardyce named a strong team including Carlton Cole who was making his first appearance in England this pre-season.
But the League Two side grabbed the decisive goal before half-time when Deane Smalley half-volleyed past Stephen Henderson.
The Premier League side continue their preparation for the new season at Colchester United on Saturday.
QPR's Asia Tour got off to a good start with a comfortable 5-0 victory over a Sabah Select XI in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
Plenty of R's got a run-out as manager Mark Hughes fielded a different team in each half and new signing Ji-Sung Park led the west London side out for the first half, in front of a raucous crowd.
Another new signing, Andy Johnson, impressed in attack for Rangers, having an early shot well saved by Irwan Jamil before having another effort cleared off the line by Baihaki Kaizan.
But it was Bobby Zamora who opened the scoring from the resulting Shaun Wright-Phillips corner, hitting the target from close range after Anton Ferdinand's header was parried into his path by Jamil.
However, the hosts showed plenty of application and 64 minutes had elapsed before QPR doubled their lead, Heidar Helguson tapping into an empty net after an unselfish square ball from Djibril Cisse.
Fabio da Silva, who has joined QPR on loan from Manchester United, impressed in the second half and would have scored but for a good save from Jamil.
And Jay Bothroyd then got number three in the 70th minute, breaking a tackle after the ball had fallen to him following a corner and then finding the target from quite a tricky angle.
Cisse then took centre stage, making it 4-0 with the goal of the night, a superb lob, and then latching onto a Fabio pass, before rounding the goalkeeper and shooting home from 18 yards.
A youthful West Bromwich Albion line-up fell to a 1-0 defeat at Worcester City with Mike Symons grabbing the only goal, while Reading won 3-2 at Ebbsfleet thanks to goals from Jake Taylor, Jordan Obita and Brett Williams.
