With Chelsea chairman Roman Abramovich seemingly bent on building a younger, more dynamic squad, speculation has been rife about a possible exit from Stamford Bridge for Lampard. After the owner of Galaxy, AEG's Tim Leiwke, openly admired the midfielder's abilities, British media began reporting the initiation of a move across the Atlantic to join former England captain Beckham.
Lampard and his wife were also recently spotted at the Home Deport Centre watching the Galaxy play, but the former West Ham player denied that he was in Los Angeles for talks with the American club.
"There's nothing in that [LA Galaxy links] at all, I'm here in Los Angeles on holiday with Christine [Bleakley]. We got engaged here last year and we love it over here," Lampard shared with The Sun.
"Steve's [Kutner, his agent] over here a lot on music and football business, he organised a box, so we could go to see the Galaxy game. Becks was suspended for the match, so he came and sat with us and we had a good laugh, that's all."
After missing out on England's Euro 2012 campaign with a thigh injury, Lampard revealed that he was eager to return to playing for Chelsea after the summer break.
"Now I'm really looking forward to getting back to Chelsea. I'm feeling fit and fresh and I'm raring to go," he stated.
"My thigh strain is completely healed now and maybe missing the Euros was a blessing in disguise for me. I had a full summer off and I'm ready to go back to start the hard work for the new season."
