Despite starting most of Malaga's La Liga fixtures from the bench this season, Rondon managed to put in 11 goals in the club's charge toward Champions League qualification, allowing him to edge out the more experienced Ruud van Nistelrooy as Malaga's top scorer for the campaign.
The Venezuelan's agent, Pablo Martinez, had previously revealed that Champions League winners Chelsea were interested in his client. He recently told El Mundo Deportivo that Liverpool and Tottenham have also joined the chase for Rondon's signature. The agent confirmed that Malaga have received approaches from a few Premier League clubs regarding the player's availability, although he declined to reveal which teams have made contact. Martinez also claims there is strong interest from clubs in the Bundesliga.
Rondon was signed from Las Palmas for a mere 2.8 million pounds, but Malaga are seeking a bid of 20 million pounds before they will consider letting him go.
