The former Norwegian international, who lost his job as coach of Bundesliga Cologne earlier this season, has emerged as a leading contender for the Wolves job.
SkyBet have made Solbakken favourite for the role after a flood of bets backing him to take the Molineux post.
Now speaking to the Scandinavian media, he has revealed that he was in England holding a meeting.
"Yes, I have a meeting, but otherwise I have nothing to say," said Solbakken, who admitted he was in Britain.
Asked if he was meeting Wolves, he told Danish website Sporten: "I am just at a meeting, I will not say anything more about with whom or about what."
Wolves, who have been relegated with Terry Connor in charge, are known to be considering their managerial options as they look to begin life back in the Championship.
