After being relegated to Nacional B, River Plate were forced to sell most of their star players. As such, they have turned to their youth system in this campaign. The situation has allowed youngsters like Cirigliano to establish themselves in the first team.
The Argentinean's performances have impressed many European scouts, with Paris Saint-Germain believed to have been in contact with River about him. However, Cirigliano's agent Rodrigo Vilarino has revealed that Manchester City have been scouting the player for the past two years.
"City have been following Ezequiel since the start of 2010, when they sent him an invitation to England for a 20-day trial," he shared with Ole.
The English club are likely to cement their interest with a bid very soon, as manager Roberto Mancini's assistant Attlilio Lombardi has been spotted at Cirigliano's last two games. River are likely to be willing to part with the player for a fee of 15 million Euros.
