The highly rated 22 year old is currently representing Spain in the ongoing European U21 championships and has been constantly linked away with a move away from Valencia this season following the departure of David Villa and David Silva to Barcelona and Manchester City respectively last year.
The former Real Madrid trainee, who scored 33 goals in 129 appearances for Valencia, is widely regarded as one of Europe's top young talents.
Liverpool have held talks with the Spanish international in the past and have been persistently linked with the tricky winger as the Merseyside club look to add width and creativity to their attack.
Juan Mata's father and agent, Juan Snr, has said all transfer talks will be put on hold until after the final of the European U21 Championships this Saturday, where Juan Mata is likely to feature for Spain as they look to oust Switzerland for a third consecutive continental U21 title.
"Until after the Euro, we won't listen to anybody. After that, we're willing to listen to all offers we receive," said Mata.
Mata has been widely rated at £22 million.
