Rooney: United can do the double
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney believes the side can conquer Europe after winning the Premier League on Saturday.
Rooney scored from the spot against Blackburn to give United the point they needed to secure the domestic title.
United returned to Manchester on Saturday to enjoy their evening, with Rooney particularly elated to "knock Liverpool off their perch", shaving the number 19 into his chest hair and then sending it across the globe via his Twitter account.
However, the focus will soon return to training and preparations for the Champions League final with Barcelona at Wembley on May 28.
"We could do the double," he said.
"I dream about that. We are working to win the Champions League.
"We can celebrate in two weeks' time. Before that we need to work a lot and to be right for that game."
For football neutrals, the Champions League final is a dream encounter - between the champions of England and the champions of Spain. It promises to be the showpiece match of the year.
