Four goals in three Premier League games helped Sergio Aguero to shine brightest and bag the Premier League player of the month award.
"Yes I am very happy [with my tally] not only for the goals, but for the victories, “ Aguero said
"I think most of my goals have helped to win the three points and that's the most important thing for me," he continued.
Manuel Pellegrini recently commented that the 25-year old was perhaps one of the “top five players in the world” about two weeks ago.
The Citizen forward recently showed his all-round talent on the pitch in a 5-2 dismantling of CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.
"He is a top player," Pellegrini recently told UK press. "I always talk with Sergio about the fact that he, for me, is one of the five top players in the world. He must try to demonstrate it in every game, but he is playing with more intensity when we don't have the ball and he has a lot of quality to make the difference.
"He was an important player also in the past - with his goal, Manchester City won the title. We hope in the future he will continue being a very important player for the club."
The Negredo-Aguero partnership has blossomed in the Manchester City frontline, which means the team have a potent strikeforce with accuracy and potent finishing to strike fear in any opponent.
"I think both of them have played really well, not only today, but the whole season," Pellegrini said. "Sergio is in a great moment, because he is not only scoring, but his movement and contribution to the team is important. Alvaro too. They have scored the goals they deserve.
"It is important to have such quality of striker, but for both of them I think it is important the way the team is playing, and we are backing up their efforts brilliantly."
