The Liverpool forward is desperate to play in the UEFA Champions League this year and Arsenal are reportedly leading the chase to sign Suarez, although Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has made it clear that he wishes to hang on to his top scorer.
Parlour told FOX SPORTS that Suarez was exactly the kind of player Arsenal lacked last season and he believed Gunners manager Arsene Wenger would be able to keep the scandal-plagued player in check.
"I think he'll be a great signing," he shared. "He scores on a regular basis - 20-plus goals - for Liverpool and Arsenal, after losing [Robin] van Persie, they lack in that position.
"Arsene Wenger can deal with players, he's very good at that. Suarez will bring so much to the team; his goals, his work-rate."
Furthermore, the ex-England international, who made over made 339 league appearances for the Gunners, believes the ex-Ajax man could have a similar impact to that Van Persie had after moving to Old Trafford.
"Suarez will definitely be a player that improves Arsenal Football Club," Parlour added. "Maybe you look at van Persie last year, when he went to Manchester United, he won them the league.
"I'm not saying that they'll win the league if Suarez moves to Arsenal but it will give them a much better chance. He's undoubtedly one of the best in the world in his position."
Despite the club being linked with a host of famous players throughout the summer, the Arsenal faithful are still awaiting their first big-name signing in what has been a quiet window for them in the transfer market.
