The Brazilian full-back was forced off early on in Sunday's 2-0 victory against Wigan.

Rafael now thinks that he will be out until September.

When asked after the match about his injury, he said: "It's a hamstring, I could be out four, five weeks."

United boss David Moyes confirmed that the Brazilian will be sidelined and said: "Rafael has a bit of a hamstring injury."
