Agger, who was promoted to vice-captain of the club after the retirement of Jamie Carragher, was the subject of a reported £15million bid from Barcelona.
The Spanish champions are currently looking to shore up their defence having failed in their approach for Chelsea's David Luiz, and Agger's agent Per Steffensen has revealed that Liverpool have rebuffed an approach from them as well.
"We are aware that Barcelona have made an offer for Daniel that Liverpool have rejected," he was quoted as saying on the Metro.
"Daniel has a contract with Liverpool for the next three years and it would be up to the clubs to agree a fee for his transfer in order for that to change."
Agger has signed a new contract with Liverpool last year which will keep him at the club until June 2016.
