Fereira Popo (68) pulled one back for Vissel but the points were wrapped up when Gamba's Keun-Ho Lee (79) scored a third although Kang Jo Park's strike a minute later made Gamba work for the win.

Nagoya Grampus Eight recovered from conceding an early goal to beat Kashima Antlers 2-1.

Yuya Osako (2) gave Kashima the lead before goals from Joshua Kennedy (35) and Igor Burzanovic (79) turned the game in Grampus' favour.
