FAS Women’s Premier League: Match day 4

An overview of the latest results, upcoming fixtures and current standings in the 2013 FAS Women’s Premier League.

Warriors FC vs Middle Rangers

On the receiving end of a hammering twice in the span of five days, Winchester FC will be keen to put the proceedings of match day 4 out of their minds.

A total of seven different scorers contributed to Jollilads Arsenal FC's resounding 9-0 victory over them on Wednesday, before Winchester lost out by a margin of 10 goals to Police Sports Association over the weekend.

It was smooth sailing once more for Jollilads in their second fixture of the week, as they crushed Nanyang Polytechnic 5-0 to surge up to fourth spot in the table. Meanwhile, a slim 2-1 win over Warriors FC was sufficient for Middle Rangers to stay one point ahead of Jollilads, with Police edging second place in the table due to superior goal difference.

The ladies of Police will challenge league leaders Arion Football Academy on match day five for an opportunity to top the pile for the first time in the campaign.

Level on points in mid-table, Young Women and Warriors are poised to capitalize on any slip-ups by these leading sides in their clash at Merdian Junior College, while Jollilads are also in prime position to continue their climb with an upcoming meeting against Petra FC, who are second-last in the table.
