The duo have combined to score 10 goals in the nine games they have played together in, and Sturridge is not surprised by the development given their understanding shown from their first training together.
He told Liverpool's official website: "It was from the first couple of training sessions. When you play with somebody, you can know what they're going to do. We've never really spoken about it.
"We spoke when I first signed about positional things - that was the first time we played with each other. But since then, I just think we both understand each other and the way the other plays.
"It's not just myself and Luis, it's Stevie G behind us."
When asked about which attribute of Suarez he would like to have, Sturridge said: "I'd have his fitness. He must be a man of steel or something. He is iron man, isn't he?
"He gets so many kicks and he doesn't seem to feel it, whereas I get a few niggles here and there and it's very frustrating because it kills the momentum I'm having."
His fellow January signing Phillippe Coutinho has also impressed so far with two goals and two assists so far and Sturridge believes that it can only bode well for the club's future.
"I've been very impressed," said Sturridge. "He [Coutinho] sees things very early, he's got great vision. He's a very skilful player and he's got a powerful shot on him also.
"I think it'll take time for us to see what he's really capable of doing because he's come from a different league, but he's already showing that he's got a vast amount of qualities.
"The best is yet to come from him but you'll see that he's a very, very special talent.
"It's always important to have a player like that. You look at Coutinho, you look at Luis, you look at Stewie, you look at Stevie Gerrard and Lucas - those players all have the capabilities to play a killer ball behind a defence.
"You've also got players like Jonjo Shelvey and Jordan Henderson who I've played with and who've set me up on numerous occasions.
"To have these players, and players like Raheem, playing behind you, I couldn't ask for any more.
"I'm sure there'll be a lot of success for us in the future with the players we have now."
