Hoeness denies stories of Robben exit

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has rubbished claims that Arjen Robben could be one of three high-profile players to leave the club in the summer.

Former Bayern Munich coach Omar Hitzfeld suggested that Robben, Thomas Muller and Toni Kroos may not fit into a side coached by Pep Guardiola, who will take over the helm of the club next season.

Robben, according to Hitzfeld, is the most likely of the trio to pack his bags and leave before Guardiola arrives, but Hoeness has dismissed the notion.

"I really can't say how Ottmar Hitzfeld can have such thoughts," said Hoeness to the TZ newspaper.

Robben has also dismissed the suggestions he will look to leave the club, even though he has been in and out of the starting eleven this season.

"I think it's a joke, people outside of the club don't know the plans," he told the Bild newspaper.

"I still have two years on my contract and we have a new era beginning next season and I'm looking forward to it."
