The team coached by Takeshi Okada took victory by a 3-1 margin, with Song Wang putting them on their way with a second-minute opener.

Gao Di made it 2-0 after 32 minutes, before former Everton and Portsmouth striker Aiyegbeni Yakubu narrowed the gap a minute before half-time. Xuan Cao sealed the points for Hangzhou by netting in the 52nd minute.

Liaoning went ahead through Edu in the 32nd minute but Yang Cao grabbed a leveller in the 90th minute.
