European football Monday Round-up

A summary of the football action around Europe on Monday.

Football - Greece: Panathinaikos

Greek Superleague

Platanias moved out of the Superleague relegation zone with a 3-1 win at OFI Crete tonight.

The strugglers were gifted the ideal start by Manolis Moniakis' second-minute own goal and they made it two through Apostolos Giannou in the 22nd minute.

Mohamed Sarr pulled one back four minutes after the break, but the hosts were dealt a setback when Christos Bourbos was sent off in the 63rd minute.

And Platanias sealed the win when Markos Maragoudakis got a third seven minutes from time, his side moving two points clear of the bottom three.

Turkish Super Lig

Kasimpasa saw off Sivasspor 1-0 to move into the top six of the Super Lig tonight.

Kalu Uche scored the only goal for Shota Averladze's men, the Nigeria international on target in the 62nd minute.

Sivasspor were unable to muster a response and ended with 10 men as Michael Eneramo was sent off with four minutes

Portuguese Primeira Liga 

Ahmed Hassan scored and was sent off as Rio Ave drew 1-1 at home to Braga in the Portuguese Liga tonight.

Hassan put the hosts ahead after three minutes, but Alan levelled with a penalty on the stroke of half-time.

And Rio Ave ended the game with 10 men following Hassan's 88th-minute sending off.

The draw left Braga in fourth, one place and two points ahead of their opponents.
