Lahm: I'd rather have Ribery than Ronaldo

Bayern Munich skipper Philipp Lahm has revealed that he would rather play alongside Frank Ribery than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Happy "tree" friends.

The former Marseille attacker has been in splendid form this season, notching four goals and seven assists in Bayern Munich's charge up the Bundesliga table.

Speaking to Kicker, Lahm expressed his delight at having the Frenchman as his team-mate in the Bavarian club.

"I would rather have Franck as my team-mate than Cristiano Ronaldo," he stated.

"Franck is not a player who plays selfish, but enjoys using his team-mates."

The 29-year old will very likely square off against Ribery in the upcoming international friendly between France and Germany, an encounter that Lahm admits should prove a challenge.

"I will try and push him to the limit," he said.

"Although I realise that it will be difficult to completely eliminate him, especially when he approaches you at full speed."

The exhibition match between France and Germany will take place on Wednesday at the Stade de France.
