Cudicini was relegated to fourth-choice keeper this season after the arrival of Hugo Lloris, with Brad Friedel and Huerelho Gomes all ahead of him in the pecking order.
LA Galaxy anounced on their official website that the move has been confirmed "pending the receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and work visa as well as Cudicini passing his medical examination."
"We are delighted to be able to add Carlo Cudicini to our roster," Galaxy head coach and general manager Bruce Arena said.
"Carlo is an experienced and accomplished goalkeeper who we believe will be a great addition to our team and our defensive unit."
Having made only 37 appearances for Spurs ever since joining them in 2009, the former Chelsea goalkeeper has only made one appearance for them this season in a Captial One Cup match against Carlisle United in September.
