Napoli have made a good start to the season so far, picking up 33 points from 15 games, and they currently find themselves second in the Serie A, a mere two points behind league leaders Juventus.
One of the reasons why Napoli have excelled has been the form of Hamsik; the 25-year-old midfielder has been one of their livewire in attack and has already bagged himself seven goals and two assists this season.
The former Brescia player acknowledges that he is playing some sterling football at the moment but was quick to give credit to the whole team for the Partenopei's good run of form.
"I believe that this is my best campaign up until this point of my career," Hamsik told Sky Sport Italia.
"I'm scoring a lot of goals, but I'm also doing well thanks to the work of the whole side."
The likes of Manchester City and Chelsea have been linked with Hamsik in recent times, but the Slovakian international insists that he is happy to stay at Napoli and outlined his ambition to lead the Partenopei to glory.
"I'm happy to be at Napoli where we are re-writing history," Hamsik added.
"This is the club who wanted me the most and we still have a lot to do and win.
"The League table says that we are the anti-Juventus.
"We are close to them after a great start to the season.
"If we continue on this path then we can go far."
Hamsik will likely feature for Napoli when they take on Palermo in their next Serie A fixture.
