Oscar and his team-mates started the season in blistering fashion but their good early season form has since deserted them and the Blues are currently winless in their last five Premier League games.
The Brazilian playmaker, who joined the European champions during the summer, has seamlessly eased into the Chelsea first team chock full of attacking talents including the likes of Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Fernando Torres.
Despite their attacking prowess, the Blues have recently found it hard to break down opposition defences, with many teams opting to set themselves up defensively in order to play for a point.
However, Oscar hopes that Fulham, with the likes of Dimitar Berbatov within their ranks, will show more ambition and play for a win on Wednesday.
"It's better for us that they like to attack because it will mean that there should be more spaces for us to exploit," Oscar was quoted as saying by the official Chelsea website.
"It makes it far more difficult for us when teams just come to Stamford Bridge and have the whole side defending behind the ball, because we have nowhere to go.
"I hope they come at us, it will make the game more open and hopefully enable us to get a win which we so badly need at the moment, particularly in front of our own supporters."
This will be yet another London derby for Oscar, with previous games against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur all going in favour of the Blues, and the 21-year-old reveals that he relishes playing in such high intensity games.
"It's great to play in local derbies," Oscar added.
"It's another important game, and we've had a lot of those in the last few weeks.
"The draw against Manchester City at the weekend was a positive result, and now I'm hopeful we can follow that up with a win in order to stay near the top of the table."
The former Internacional player also highlighted the importance of picking up maximum points from their following few matches in order to keep pace with league leaders Manchester United.
"It's crucial that from this point on we win as many matches as possible," Oscar declared.
"At Chelsea we are expected to win every game.
"We tried everything in order to get the three points against Manchester City, but it was a very tough game and while we were unfortunate not to get the win, it was important we didn't lose and managed to keep a clean sheet."
Chelsea, currently fourth in the table on 25 points and five points behind United, will be involved in yet another London derby following their game against Fulham when they take on West Ham on Saturday.
