Die Roten have been excellent so far this season and currently occupy top spot of the Bundesliga table with a commanding 11 points lead over nearest challengers Borussia Dortmund.

Last season's Champions League runners-up were imperious once again on Saturday as they thumped Hannover 5-0 courtesy of goals from Javi Martinez, Toni Kroos, Frank Ribery, Dante and Gomez.

However, Gomez has warned his side against getting complacent and urged his side to keep working hard towards winning the Bundesliga title.

"The important thing is that we continue our run through to Christmas and don't let up," Gomez was quoted as saying by the official Bayern website.

"We've won nothing for two seasons, so we have to win the league.

"We're on track, provided we keep it up.

"We were on track last year as well, only to veer off course.

"That mustn't happen this season. I have faith in the coach and I know he'll do everything right."

With an upcoming clash against Freiburg on Wednesday in their next Bundesliga fixture, Bayern captain Philipp Lahm echoed Gomez's sentiments and warned his team-mates not to underestimate the Breisgau-Brasilianer.

"We go to Freiburg on Wednesday with our usual target of winning, but we know it's a difficult away match," Lahm declared.

"We've always made heavy weather of the trip to Freiburg in recent years, so we'll need to play focused football from the start."

Freiburg are currently sixth in the table following their impressive 3-0 win over Stuttgart during the weekend.
