Following a series of impressive performances for Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, Susaeta was selected by Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque for La Roja's upcoming friendly game against Panama.
The right winger is likely to earn his first cap for his country in the fixture, and Susaeta told Marca that it was a privilege to train alongside the likes of Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas and David Villa in the national team set-up.
"Truly, it's an honour to share a workout, let alone a game, so I'm very happy," he stated.
After cementing their place as the leading side on the international scene by winning Euro 2008, World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012, Spain are expected to ease through their World Cup 2014 qualifying group. The Bilbao midfielder expressed his pride at being a part of such a prestigious group of players.
"And what a better time than when [Spain] is world and European champions," Susaeta shared.
"It is a dream for any Spanish player to be selected."
