The Gunners started the season with an excellent defensive record after not conceding a goal in the first three league games. However, they have been shipping goals in recent performances, including the 3-3 draw against Fulham over the weekend.
"We have conceded a lot of goals against us. If we always concede two or three goals it will be difficult to win, so we have to improve," the 26-year-old told the club's official website.
"But it is not only the defenders, it is the whole team."
With regards to his own form, the striker admits he is starting to bed into the Arsenal side following a slow start to life in the Premier League but he will not rest on his laurels until Arsenal start winning again.
"I am finding my place in this team, I feel better and better," Giroud added.
"I try to give my all for the team, I work hard in training and I feel good. But I can't be very happy because we only drew."
Arsenal are currently eighth in the league after being held by Fulham and will go into the north London derby a point behind neighbours Tottenham in the league.
