Johor, who finished this season 9th on the table, have already secured deals for Malaysia internationals Aidil Zafuan, Zaquan Adha, Azmi Muslim and Muslim Ahmad, as well as striker Dani Guiza, who was part of Spain's Euro 2008-winning side.
Malaysia captain Safiq Rahim also appears set to join following the conclusion of the AFF Suzuki Cup, while the Southern Tigers are rumoured to be in negotiations with Kelantan over the services of star striker Norshahrul Idlan Talaha.
But despite already having a formidable squad for the 2013 campaign, Johor are showing no signs of letting up after Suhairi Hashim, the honorary secretary of the Football Association of Johor (PBNJ), revealed Khyril is one of several Malaysia internationals in talks with the club.
"Of course there are plans to bring in one or two national players into the team," he told Harian Metro. "Discussions are ongoing at the moment.
"Khyril Muhymeen is one of them and we are waiting for his answer. He had previously expressed his desire to join Johor.
"We will do what is necessary and follow the procedures set by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM)."
It appears unlikely that Khyril will remain with Hijau-Kuning for much longer, especially considering they will be playing in the Premier League next year following relegation this season.
