The Bianconeri had started the brightest with Arturo Vidal's goal coming after just 19 seconds. However, top of the table Juve were undone by an inspired second half performance from Inter who hit back through Diego Milito's brace before Rodrigo Palacio sealed the win.
It was Inter's seventh win in a row while Juve were left to reflect on their first ever loss at Juventus Stadium.
"We've slipped to defeat after a long unbeaten run," Alessio said on the club's website.
"It happened this evening [Saturday] against Inter, at the end of a game in which we created a great deal of opportunities. After going in front we had more than one occasion to put the game to bed and we weren't able to do so.
"We came up against excellent team and accept the defeat. However, we're proud of everything we've done in this period and we'd like to thank the lads and also the fans who kept spurring us on right until the end tonight [Saturday].
"We'll move on and now focus on the Nordsjaelland game which is fundamental for our progress in the Champions League. "
Juve play the Danish side on Wednesday in a Group E clash which the Italian champions cannot afford to lose as they bid to ensure they remain in the running to reach the knockout stage of the competition. They currently sit third in the group on three points which is one point behind Chelsea and four points behind leaders Shakhtar Donetsk.
