The second edition of the Superclasico de las Americas takes places on Wednesday night, with Brazil having enjoyed a 2-1 win in the first match two weeks ago. Both sides have selected only players who play in either Argentina or Brazil.

Guinazu, who plays for Brazilian club Internacional, told Ole newspaper: "Brazil's players are no fools and know we play good football, so they will pay attention.

"Even though Brazil's relationship with their fans is not the best at the moment, they are great players anyway."

Guinazu hailed Santos striker Neymar, who secured Brazil's victory in the first leg with a last-gasp penalty.

"Neymar is very dangerous, and so is (midfielder) Lucas. I see them playing in the Brazilian league.

"They know how to play good football. We must be focused for 94 minutes.

"The key to overcoming them is to give them no space to move. We are hopeful we can recover."

Striker Hernan Barcos, who plays for Palmeiras in Brazil, is determined to hold on to his place in the Argentina squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers, when more established Europe-based players return to the fold.

Barcos said: "There are great forwards in the squad, important names, but in each nomination and each training session I have to work hard.

"I hope I can keep being here because it is a very nice experience," Barcos told ESPN.

Neymar, meanwhile, is anxiously waiting for the return game against Argentina, having told reporters in Sao Paulo: "Playing Argentina is always different to other rivals because I always want to play against them."

Goalkeeper Jefferson added Mano Menezes' Brazil do not need extra motivation to play Argentina, adding: "Previews are not necessary. Atmosphere, emotion, motivation, everything is different.

"I'm honoured by the captain's armband. It has not happened suddenly, but is the result of hard work."
