Pizarro close to Bayern return
Bayern Munich appear to be on the verge of re-signing striker Claudio Pizarro.
The 33-year-old, who has confirmed he is leaving Werder Bremen this summer, looks set to return to the club he played for from 2001 and 2007.
"The transfer is as good as fixed," Bayern sporting director Christian Nerlinger was quoted as saying by Bild.
The Peruvian, who joined Bremen for a second time from Chelsea in 2009, won three Bundesliga titles in his first spell at Bayern.
