There have been no shortage of clubs competing for the youngster's signature with top names across Europe including Real Madrid, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Bayern Munich among the suitors.
On Thursday, the Daily Mirror reported that Lille had rejected a £25million bid from Chelsea - something the Blues deny - for the player.
The news comes as little surprise to those involved in tracking Hazard as Lille had previously slapped a £43 million (50million euros) price tag on the highly rated attacker.
For their part, Lille have always kept a consistent line in their handling of the constant speculation regarding one of the hottest prospects in European football - they continue to maintain that they do not want to let Hazard go in the current campaign. This has not changed in light of Chelsea's reported £25million bid and it appears will not change for any amount in the near future.
"Yes, we have received a lot of very interesting proposals. But the clubs want the player immediately and on this we have a very clear idea: Hazard will remain at least until the end of the season. He will not go," Lille official Jean-Michel Vandamme said.
Vandamme did not confirm which clubs - other than Chelsea as named by the Daily Mirror - have already submitted proposals for Hazard.
The player himself has kept his cards close to his chest on where he might go after Lille, although there have been several indications which suggest Real Madrid may hold the inside track. Hazard is an ardent fan of France legend Zinedine Zidane and the former Real Madrid player now works as a sporting director at the Bernabeu.
When asked about those rumours linking him to Madrid last summer, Hazard said he was determined to help Lille defend their Ligue 1 title this season but that crucially neither Zidane or Real coach Jose Mourinho had been in touch at that point.
"I would be proud to talk to Zidane, of whom I have always been a big fan since his two goals in the 1998 World Cup Final," he told L'Equipe.
"Zidane was my favourite player, along with Thierry Henry, when he was at Arsenal."
Hazard is contracted to Lille until 2015.
