Canada 2-3 Brazil: Robinho winner

Canada came from behind twice to level the scores but they eventually succumbed 3-2 to Brazil in a friendly played in Seattle.

Real Madrid striker Robinho capitalised on a defensive mistake in the 65th minute to slot home Brazil’s winner against a Canada side that featured former S.League Albirex Niigata star Issey Nakajima-Farran.

Deigo (4th min), Luis Fabiano (45th) scored from Brazil while Rob Friend (10th) and Julian de Guzman (56th min) replied for Canada.

These was the first friendly Brazil played after the players recently returned from their club duties in Europe and South America.

The Seleção were also missing the world player of the year Kaka who had arthroscopic knee surgery along with Ronaldinho and Ronaldo.

Brazil will meet Venezuela on June 6 in Foxborough, Masschusetts and then resume their qualifying campaign for the 2010 World Cup on June 14 at Paraguay. Brazil will hosts archrival Argentina on June 18.
