Malaysia booked their ticket to the final after overcoming Myanmar 1-0 on Saturday, with the help of a goal from Ahmad Fakri Saarani in the 85th minute.
Indonesia, on the other hand, fought to a 2-0 win over Vietnam, with Patrich Steven Wanggai notching from a 61st minute freekick, and Titus Bonai getting on the scoresheet in the dying minutes of the game.
The final looks to be an explosive affair, with Malaysia beating Indonesia 1-0 in their Group A encounter last Thursday.
However, the formbooks will go out the window, especially since Malaysia looked a far poorer side against Myanmar, who looked superior in the first half with several forays forward.
It was only in the second half that the tables were turned, and the Malaysians were rewarded for their efforts with Ahmad Fakri's goal.
It was also the same picture in the second semi-final with Vietnam also superior in the first half, but unable to sustain their momentum, with Indonesia picking up the tempo in a rain-slicked pitch at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.
