Suk-Young suffered the injury in training a month ago shortly after his arrival from Rovers' Sky Bet Championship rivals QPR.
The South Korea international will do conditioning work with club physio Alex Dalton until Thursday, when he will join in with full training with the rest of the squad.
Doncaster boss Paul Dickov hinted following Saturday's defeat at Bolton that Suk-Young could be back in his squad for the Yorkshire derby against Leeds next weekend.
Suk-Young made his Rovers debut as a half-time substitute in the 4-0 defeat at Middlesbrough on October 25.
His only other appearance for the club before getting injured came the following weekend as he started the 3-1 home loss to Brighton.
