Barca have already tied many of their star players to long-term deals but have yet to secure Iniesta, whose current contract is due to expire in 2015.
However, the 29-year-old Spain midfielder insists the issue is not something he is worried about, saying on Monday: "We need to take it step by step.
"It's not something that today or in two months time I'm concerned about. When it has to happen, it will happen. The club wants me to be there and I want to be there.
"I'm sure that things are getting closer all the time. I feel good, I want to continue playing better, growing and continuing where I want to be."
