Four days after being crushed 4-0 by Balestier Khalsa in the final of the League Cup, the Bruneian outfit returned to league action at the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium and actually fell behind in the fifth minute when Akmal Ishak fired the visitors ahead.
However, Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo Tosi equalised DPMM in the 25th minute, before Abdul Aziz Tamit put them ahead eight minutes after the break.
And 19 minutes from time, the hosts were awarded a penalty that was converted by Tosi, wrapping up the three points in the process.
In Wednesday's other game, bottom side Courts Young Lions claimed only their second win of the campaign by beating Geylang International 1-0 at the Bedok Stadium.
Following a goalless first half, Sherif El-Masri popped up to score in the 58th minute to hand Aide Iskandar's young charges the win.
