Heading into the game with a one-point lead over second-placed ATM, the LIONSXII were looking to take one step closer to the title with victory in Kuantan and that looked to be the case early on when Shahril Ishak opened the scoring in the 11th minute; curling a lovely freekick past the wall and into the bottom corner.

But in the fourth minute of injury-time, Damion Stewart rose highest at the far post to nod the ball back across the the face of goal, where Azamuddin Akil was on hand to equalise with a diving header and earn a share of the spoils for his side.

The result allowed third-placed Darul Takzim to close the gap between them and the leaders to four points after they beat T-Team 2-1 at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium.

Although the visitors were favourites to beat their struggling hosts, it was T-Team who took the lead five minutes after the half-hour mark when Badrul Hisyam Moris broke the deadlock.

However, Malaysia international Safee Sali made it 1-1 in the 53rd minute, before Argentinean striker Leonel Nunez struck 15 minutes later to hand Harimau Selatan all three points.

Finally, Terengganu continued their recent resurgence with a 3-1 triumph at Perak.

Abdul Manaf Mamat fired the Turtles ahead at the Perak Stadium after 18 minutes, but two minutes before the hour mark, Azlan Ismail found the equaliser for the hosts in the 58th minute.

Nonetheless, the visitors continued to look the more dangerous of the two sides and reclaimed the lead in the 66th minute through a strike from Fakulrazi Musa, before Khairul Ramadhan Zauwawi struck a third two minutes from time to wrap up the three points for his team.
