Following a goalless first half, Venice Elphi scored the only goal of the game six minutes after the hour mark to hand the Gladiators all three points and condemn relegation-threatened T-Team to their second straight defeat.

The win was enough to take ATM above Darul Takzim into second place, although Fandi Ahmad's charges now have a game in hand.

In Friday's other game, FELDA United recorded their first win in five games after beating 10-man Perak 3-1 at the Petaling Jaya Stadium.

Haitian international Leonel Saint-Preux opened his account for FELDA when he broke the deadlock in the 30th minute, before Razali Umar Kandasamy doubled the hosts' tally eight minutes later.

Paulo Rangel pulled one back for Perak a minute before the break when he netted from the spot, but FELDA wrapped up the three points four minutes in the 56th minute through a Rudie Ramli strike.

To compound a miserable day for Seladang, they were reduced to ten men on the hour mark when Abdul Hadi Yahya received his marching orders.

The result was enough to take FELDA further away from the relegation zone while Perak remain in 8th.
