Ahead of the weekend, it had almost been two years since the Red Warriors last tasted defeat at the Sultan Mohammad IV Stadium, when they fell T-Team in May 2011.

However, they had it all to do right from the start when they fell behind after just ten minutes when former star Hairuddin Omar latched onto a Venice Elphi lay-off and unleashed a strike that found its way into the back of the net via a deflection, before D. Christie Jayaseelan tapped home a Marlon Alex James cross to make it 2-0 in the 21st minute.

Kelantan did manage to pull one back six minutes before the break when Faiz Subri fired home from a tight angle, but any hopes of a second-half comeback were ended in the 61st minute, when Marlon Alex James volleyed home a pinpoint delivery from Affize Faisal for his 12th goal of the season to wrap up the three points for ATM.

Leaders LIONSXII's away problems continued as they were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom side Negri Sembilan at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium.

Brazilian debutant Fabio Leandro Barbosa fired the hosts ahead in the 15th minute, but just four minutes later, LIONSXII equalised when Fazrul Nawaz converted a Hafiz Abu Sujad cross.

Negri Sembilan were reduced to ten men in the 72nd minute when Abdul Ghani received a red card for a horrific two-footed challenge on Nazrul Nazari, but the Deer ultimately held on for a share of the spoils.

Selangor reclaimed second spot from Darul Takzim and are now just two points behind the leaders following a routine 2-0 victory over FELDA United.

Following a goalless first half, midfield general K. Gurusamy opened the scoring for the Red Giants in the 50th minute, before Liberia international Francis Forkey Doe made sure of the three points with a second eight minutes from time.

In Saturday's final game, Pahang condemned T-Team to a sixth straight game without victory after beating them 2-1 at the Darulmakmur Stadium.

Following a goalless first half, Tok Gajah took the lead ten minutes after the break when R. Gopinathan scored, before doubling their tally through a Razman Roslan effort eight minutes later.

The Titans did pull one back five minutes from time when Azrul Hazlan Amiludin Baki scored, but Pahang ultimately held on for all three points.
