Having fallen behind to a 10th-minute opener from Perak's French striker Karim Rouani, ATM looked in deep trouble ten minutes later when Shahrom Abdul Kalam doubled the hosts' advantage.

However, the Armed Forces skipper Hairuddin Omar pulled one back a minute later, before D. Christie Jayaseelan made it 2-2 two minutes before the break.

Marlon Alex James then fired the visitors into the lead on the stroke of half-time, but wasted an excellent opportunity to increase their advantage when he failed to convert a penalty in the 75th minute, after Bruno Martelotto had been fouled inside the box by Rafael Souza.

Nonetheless, the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines international made amends five minutes from time when he left three players in his wake before scoring, to hand ATM all three points and help them reclaim their lead at the top of the table.

In the day's afternoon kick-off, an injury-time strike by Farderin Kadir handed Terengganu a 1-0 win over local rivals T-Team.

Finally, early-season pacesetters Pahang continued their miserable run of form as they fell to a 3-1 home defeat at the Darulmakmur Stadium.

Despite taking a 25th-minute lead through R. Gopinathan, Tok Gajah were pegged back three minutes before the hour mark through a Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh strike, before the visitors edged ahead seven minutes later when Nizad Ayub netted.

Wleh then went on to wrap up the three points in injury-time when he doubled his tally to condemn Pahang to a third loss in five league games without tasting victory.
