Fandi Ahmad's charges found themselves behind at the Tan Sri Dato Hj Hassan Yunos Stadium in the 29th minute, after Rashid Mahmud latched onto a half-cleared ball on the edge of the area and fired a strike into the bottom corner.

After struggling to break down the opposition for most of the match, it appeared that the hosts were headed for a shock defeat until eight minutes from time when Kamarul Afiq rose highest inside the area to head home a corner.

But as the clock ticked over into extra-time, Darul Takzim found the winner when Nurul Azwan Roya picked up possession on the edge of the area and unleashed a left-footed strike that took a deflection off a Negri defender and crept into the bottom corner.

Earlier in the day, LIONSXII had missed the chance to go top after being held to a 0-0 draw at FELDA United.

After dominating the first half, the Singaporean outfit found themselves down to ten men four minutes after the hour mark when Baihakki Khaizan was issued a second yellow for dissent, although they ultimately held on for a point.

Finally, Terengganu picked up a much-needed three points after recording a 2-0 win away to PKNS FC.

Jean-Emmanuel Effa Owona opened the scoring for the Turtles in the 8th minute when he pounced on a poor clearance by Fadhil Hasim and fired home, following excellent work down the left by Khairul Ramadhan Zauwawi.

The in-form Abdul Manaf Mamat then added a second for E. Elavarasan's side in the 27th minute to wrap up the win.
