The 29-year-old netted the winning goal in the 2-1 defeat of Getafe on Saturday before scoring in the 6-1 victory over Eibar where Lionel Messi scored four.
There were question marks raised as to why the Primera Division side might want a combative player like Paulinho, but he has quickly answered his critics with his performances for his new club.
Speaking to Marca, he said: "My welcome at the club has been fantastic and I’m extremely grateful.

“It’s important that everyone feels this happiness as it allows us all to play better and I can help my teammates in meeting our aims and ambitions for the season."
