Malaga overcame a 1-0 disadvantage from the first leg with a convincing 2-0 win at La Roseleda - a win which Isco insists is made all the more sweeter given that Malaga have struggled for form since the turn of the year, where they have woon
Isco, who scored the opening goal in the match, said on Spanish news site AS: "We all deserve it, we have gone several games playing poorly but today we have returned in the best way possible.
"What we have achieved was unthinkable just a short while ago," he added.
The Spain international admitted his team had to work extremely hard to overcome the Portuguese champions.
He said: "We went out onto the pitch with a lot of tension because the match was so important but once we settled down we showed what we were capable of. We deserved to go through.
"We had an amazing night and we have made the fans happy. We played good football, which is what we know how to do."
And Isco insisted that he and his team-mates had no preferences as to their opponents in the next round.
"We don't mind who we get, the Champions League is the pinnacle of football and we are going to enjoy ourselves whoever we play," he declared.
