A product of the Barcelona youth academy, Bojan was regarded as the next big thing to emerge from the club since Lionel Messi when he made his first team bow in 2007. However, a string of injuries and poor form resulted in the forward's failure to establish himself in the Catalan side's starting 11, before Bojan left for Serie A side Roma in the summer of 2011.

Now plying his trade with AC Milan, the 22-year is set to make an emotional return to the Camp Nou when the Rossoneri take on Barcelona in their Champions League Round of 16 tie. Speaking to the Barcelona official website, Bojan conceded that Massimiliano Allegri's side were the underdogs, but they would not be going down without a fight.

"The tie will be very complicated. We know that we're playing against the best club in the world, but we'll have our chances," he stated.

"We have good players and we'll try to stay in the tie as long as possible."

Barcelona have established a nine point lead at the top of La Liga and are unsurprisingly one of the favourites to emerge as the champions of Europe this season. The former Barcelona B player believed that the club's beliefs and values were key to the team's long-standing success.

"They are unstoppable. The Club keeps on promoting players, maintaining the team and its philosophy. I think they'll be around for years to come," Bojan said.
