Celtic sensationally made it into the last 16 of the Champions League after a famous 2-1 win over Barcelona in the group stages but Platini believes that the Bhoys' fairytale run will come to an end when they play Juventus next.
"If we look at the Champions League draw, it's clear that Juventus are already through to the quarter finals,' Platini was quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.
The former Juventus player admits that he still has a soft spot for the Bianconeri and regards them as the strongest team in the world.
"Of course, Juve has always been and will always be the team of my heart, where among other things, I won everything at club level"
"I have been very fortunate in football. I played in the strongest teams for both Nancy and Saint-Etienne, and finally in Juventus, which is the strongest team in the world.'
Celtic will first host Juventus at Celtic Park on 12 February before visiting Turin for the away leg on 6 March.
