Man United vs Galatasaray LIVE!
Who will come up tops in this intriguing round of Champions League football? Find out as we cover the action LIVE on ESPNSTAR.com!
Chelsea face a tricky start to the defence of their Champions League title when they face current Serie A champions Juventus at Stamford Bridge, as the two teams from Group E attempt to take control of the group in these early stages.
No team during the Champions League era has managed to retain the trophy, with AC Milan the last team to have successfully defended their European crown in 1990 when the competition was then known as the European Cup and Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has already expressed his ambition of creating history and being champions of Europe for a second year in a row.
For Juventus, this match will mark their return to European football's premier competition after 33 months since their elimination from the competition by Bayern Munich and the Bianconeri are eager to make up for lost time with a successful campaign this time round.
In the other Group E game, Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk will take on Danish champions Nordsjælland, making their Champions League debut.
Group F sees defeated Champions League finalists Bayern Munich taking on Valencia in the high profile clash of the group while Bate Borisov will make the trip to France to face LOSC Lille.
Elsewhere in Group G, Spanish powerhouse Barcelona will host Spartak Moscow, with the Russian outfit's manager Unai Emery no stranger to the Catalans, having come up against them before when he was in charge of Valencia, and will undoubtedly use his experience to try and overcome the Blaugrana. The other game in the group sees Scottish side Celtic take on Benfica.
And finally in Group H, Manchester United will host Turkish champions Galatasaray, with Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson vowing to ensure the 'careless' mistakes which saw them disappointingly eliminated from the competition last season will not be repeated. Braga and CFR Cluj will face off with each other in the other group game.
