No side has ever managed to defend their European title in more than two decades.
Ahead of Barcelona's visit to the San Siro to tackle Milan on Wednesday evening, former Holland international Reiziger believes that the Italian outfit will struggle to contain the free-flowing style of Barca.
"I think Barça will win this game. They have a better team and play better," he said to www.fcbarcelona.cat, the official website of Barcelona.
However, he added that Milan will be no pushovers themselves.
"They are an Italian team, who always keep things tight and leave few spaces. It'll be difficult," he remarked.
Reiziger conceded he was surprised when Milan nicked a 2-2 draw with the Catalan outfit in the first tie.
"I thought Barça would win, but Milan got an early goal and that benefited their style," he said.
"But Wednesday will be a different match, because they're playing at the San Siro and Milan might attack more and leave more room at the back. And Barça can score at any time."
"From the way they play, I think Barça has been the best team in Europe for years. And they are continuing along those lines. Of all the last twenty years, Barça has the best chance to retain the title."
Reiziger spent a single injury-hit season with Milan from 1996 to 1997 before settling with Barcelona for seven years before retiring in 2007.
