Busquets: Not Barca vs Ibra

Barcelona's Sergio Busquets has dismissed claims that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will take centrestage in their Champions League tie against AC Milan on Wednesday.

Football News: Ibrahimovic

Enigmatic Swedish international Ibrahimovic departed the Nou Camp for AC Milan after just one season in Catalonia following his big-money transfer to Spain from Inter Milan.

Revelations about life with the European champions were uncovered in his recent autobiography, with Ibrahimovic labeling Barca manager Pep Guardiola a coward.

However, Spanish international Busquets insisted that the encounter with the Italian champions will not revolve around their former colleague and his off-the-pitch antics.

"We are thinking about Milan, not just one particular player," Busquets told a press conference.

"This is Milan v Barca, not Ibrahimovic v Barca. We will go to Milan to win, get the three points and the top place in the group. A victory at San Siro would boost our morale and it would be a prestigious result."

Busquets also downplayed the extent of Andres Iniesta's injury which would force him to sit out the tie.

"He is a very important player, but this is not a serious injury, it is just a precaution", he said.

The 23-year-old Barca youth academy product also played down any issue with forward Lionel Messi's rumoured fitness worries.

"He is the best player in the world, he brings so much to the fare," Busquets added. "It is normal that he plays, since he is very strong physically, and it is very important for us that he plays."

Wednesday's clash will be something of a dead rubber encounter with both Barcelona and AC Milan having already qualified to the knockout phase of the competition.
