Fans blast Mourinho after Sevilla loss

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho went from hero to villain in just over 72 hours following the Red Devils’ European exit at the hands of Sevilla on Tuesday night.

Just three days after masterminding a 2-1 Premier League win over Liverpool, United crashed out of the Champions League after losing 2-1 at Old Trafford, substitute Wissam Ben Yedder’s late brace handing Sevilla a first ever CL win on British soil.

Romelu Lukaku replied for United, but it was too little too late as United failed to make the last eight.

If the result was bad enough, it was the manner of the defeat that upset fans the most, with United supporters criticising the perceived negative tactics deployed by Mourinho.

While others chose to compare his record to one of his predecessors.

Are United fans right to be angry?
